      Amphibian RLA

The Amphibian Red List Authority Wiki Site is moving!

The Amphibian RLA wiki is in the process of migrating to the IUCN SSC Amphibian Specialist Group's (ASG) website, http://www.amphibians.org/. Please visit http://www.amphibians.org/redlist/ for upcoming updates on the Amphibian RLA!

The current wiki site will be kept as an archive for the next six months starting January 2013 and will be phased out after that. If you have any questions about the Amphibian RLA or its wiki site please email ariadne.angulo[at]iucn.org.

Welcome to the IUCN SSC Amphibian Red List Authority Wiki Site!

This wiki was created as a repository of resources for the Amphibian RLA membership and as a means of sharing and discussing ideas, materials, amphibian species assessments and all aspects related to the assessment, review, consistency check and publication of amphibian conservation assessments in the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species. While the primary purpose of this wiki is to provide resources and a platform for the Amphibian RLA, these same resources are freely available to the broad herpetological community and to general public. If you are not an Amphibian RLA member (please see below) but would like to provide the RLA with comments and suggestions, please use the Feedback and comments page.

Who we are

The Amphibian Red List Authority (Amphibian RLA) is a group of people tasked by the Chair of the IUCN Species Survival Commission (SSC) with overseeing the process of updating, maintaining and curating amphibian assessments in the IUCN Red List (http://www.iucnredlist.org/initiatives/amphibians). The Amphibian RLA is established within the IUCN SSC Amphibian Specialist Group (ASG), and is considered to be part of IUCN SSC, so RLA members are by definition also IUCN SSC members. Amphibian RLA members are professionals dedicated to the study and/or conservation of amphibians, and who are, at the same time, qualified (through training in the several tools regularly used in amphibian assessments) to assess and evaluate amphibian assessments in the IUCN Red List.
